Obituary of Darrell E. Spraguer

DARRELL "Pop" SPRAGUER of Maywood, passed away on August 7, 2015. He was 89 years old. Darrell proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II; he later worked at Stephan Chemical and retired after 45 years. A jovial, kind, and humorous man, Darrell enjoyed illustrating and the company of his family. His smile brightened the room and his joy for life was contagious; delighting everyone around him. He will be missed by all who knew him. Darrell was preceded in death by his soulmate, his wife of 29 years, Jennie; his son Darrell J.; and his daughter Janet Hoffman. Pop is survived by his children: Colette and Michael Kaltner of Rochelle Park and Donna and Michael De Gregorio of Hackensack; his grandchildren: Michael, Jillian, Lee, Derek, Jennifer, Matt, Angela, Jesse, Alyssa, and Dylan; and his great grandchildren: Nolan and Marabelle. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, August 12th at 10:00AM at the funeral home; with burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8PM for visitation.
