Obituary of Kevin E. Toomey

Kevin E. Toomey, of Norwood NJ and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016, at the age of 59 years. Prior to retiring in 2009, Kevin was a police officer for the City of Hackensack for 25 years and served as President and State Delegate for P.B.A. Local # 9 of Hackensack. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church of Hackensack and a member of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council # 747 and Bishop O'Connor General Assembly Fourth Degree of Hackensack. Beloved husband for 25 years of Eileen "Gigi" B. (nee Finneran). Loving father of Dennis Toomey of Norwood. Devoted son of the late Edward J.and Lorraine (nee Loughman) Toomey. Dearest brother of Michael Toomey and his wife Donna of Oradell, Laurie Toomey of Hackensack, and the late Christopher Toomey and his wife Agatha Toomey of Hackensack. Dear Brother in Law of Jane Vindigni and her husband Frank of Montvale, Brian Finneran and fiancé Karla Ross of Palm Coast, FL, and the late Michael Finneran and his wife Emma of Middletown. Adored uncle of Michael, Eric, Chris, Nick, Katie, Colleen, Reiner, Eric and Michelle. The funeral will begin on Saturday, May 14th, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at Hackensack Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
