Obituary of William J. Scheeler

WILLIAM J. SCHEELER, Sr., age 80, of South Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Prior to retiring he was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #25 in Carlstadt, NJ, for many years. William was also a retired Captain of the South Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Beloved husband of Lora (nee Marinello) for 56 years. Loving father of William J. Scheeler, Jr. and his wife Louise of Northvale, NJ, and Kimberly Quill and her husband Sean of Westwood, NJ. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra, Mathew, Bryan, Jessica and Jaclyn. Dearest brother of Marion Francavilla, Lorraine Williams and her husband Charles, Spencer Scheeler and his wife Cheryl, Julia Scheeler, John Scheeler and his wife Audrey, Kenneth Scheeler and his wife Gail. Predeceased by the late George Scheeler, Elizabeth Pajaron, her husband the late Frank and sister-in-law Sunday Stankowitz. William also leaves behind his sister-in-law Barbara Scheeler and brother-in-law Michael Stankowitz. Devoted uncle of Michael J. Stankowitz and numerous other nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held on Friday, March 17th, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 - 9 PM for visitation.
