Obituary of Harald M. Oster

HARALD M. OSTER, of Hackensack, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 49 years. Harry was born and raised in Hackensack. He was a dear brother, father and uncle. Surviving are his brother Martin D. Oster of Dumont, NJ; his sister Susanne Davis of Portland, OR; his son Evan Oster; and his niece Chrissi Shewchuk. He was preceded in death by his sister Connie Youngmann from Safety Harbor, FL; his mother Mechthild (nee Krippendorf), and his father, Rainer Oster Although disabled for many years, Harry was passionate about music and a gifted guitarist. He taught his son to become a talented musician also. He was read extensively and could discuss almost any topic from his wealth of knowledge. He was witty and could make us laugh. He was always there to listen and provide sage wisdom. He was an encourager and so many of us felt that he was our best friend. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 28, 2017, from 2 – 6 PM. A memorial and prayer service will be held at 6 PM. Cremation will be private.
