Obituary of C. Veronica Smolenski

C. VERONICA "RONNIE" ZAREMBA SMOLENSKI, of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017, at the age of 93 years. Born in Guttenberg, she lived in South Hackensack since 1953. Prior to retiring she was an accountant for McGraw Hill Publishing Company of New York City. She was a parishioner at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack where she was past president and member of the Rosary Society. Beloved wife of the late Walter Smolenski who passed away in 2005. Devoted mother of Walter A. Smolenski and his wife Evelyn of Edison, Mary V. Rodriguez and her husband Frank of Long Valley, Lois A. Prescott and her husband David of Millville, Joseph L. Smolenski and his wife Teresa of Slingerland, NY, Kathryn A. Pridmore and her husband Terrance of Fair Lawn, and John A. Smolenski of Colonia. Adored grandmother of Walter, Alex, Max, Andrew, David Jr., Alicia, Nicole, Matthew, Mariel, Terrance, and John. Cherished sister of Joseph Zaremba of South Hackensack who was her loving and devoted brother that became a second father to the Smolenski family, and Stanley Zaremba and his wife Dorothy of California. Loving aunt of four nieces and four nephews and also leaves behind many loving cousins, in-laws, and dear friends. The funeral on Thursday, Dec. 21st, at 9:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Hackensack with burial following at St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 – 9 PM. The family prefers that you honor her memory with a memorial donation to the Church of the Immaculate Conception's Fund for repairing the church bells, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
