Obituary of Giovanni Sanseverino

GIOVANNI SANSEVERINO, of Hackensack, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Born in Capriglia, Italy, he came to this country in 1970 settling in Jersey City and moving to Hackensack in 1984 where he lived until his passing. He worked for Sier Bath Gear Co., Inc. of North Bergen before retiring. Member of the Teamsters Local # 641 and parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved husband of the late Ada (nee Ruta) who passed away in 2010. Loving father of Carmela Capobianco and her husband Gastone of Hasbrouck Heights, Gerardina Wheeling and her husband Bradley of Bernville, PA, Aniello Sanseverino and his wife Wendy of Indiana, Assunta Pajar and her late husband Paul Benjamin (2015) of Elmwood Park, Giuseppe Sanseverino and his wife Armi of Waldwick, Antonio Sanseverino of North Fort Meyers, FL, and Giovanni Sanseverino Jr. of Hackensack. Devoted grandfather of Gastone and his wife Francesca, Bobby and his wife Gina, Edward and his fiancé Amanda, Tania, David, Matthew, Jessica, Dave and his wife Jaime, Nicole, and Benjamin. Cherished great grandfather of Sofia Rose, Gia Simone, Lorenzo Thomas, and Tyler Christian. Giovanni also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 – 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Giovanni's memory may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
