Obituary of Manette Theresa Loudon

MANETTE THERESA LOUDON, age 57, of Hackensack, NJ, died peacefully on Friday, March 2nd at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of David T. Lender, mother of Zachary James Loudon, daughter of John (Jack) R. Begin and Cindy (Stepshus) Begin, sister of Lisa Begin-Kruysman and her husband Richard and John R. Begin, Jr.and wife Gigi, and aunt to their children Jake, Roxy, Gabe and Livie. Manette had a vibrant personality and an open heart that others were magnetically drawn to. As such she had a large circle of friends and made herself available to help others with their problems. Those traits spawned numerous long-term friendships and committed her to not a few impossible causes. From an early age she was an accomplished gymnast, swimmer and diver. She rode horses as a teen and became a lifelong lover of them. She loved her backyard, pool, fountain, and tending her organic vegetable garden. She found a beekeeper who sited two hives near her garden and she was looking forward to learning beekeeping this spring. She took great joy in having her home filled with people, and hosted family holidays, birthday celebrations and neighborhood Halloween parties. She adored her son and nephews and nieces. She always held her deceased brother Matthew in her heart. She doted on her rescue pitbull, Styles Thomas Lender, to whom she never said, "Bad dog." After graduating from Hackensack High School in 1978, she studied fashion merchandising at Berkeley College, then worked in the fashion industry and in retail home furnishings for Ralph Lauren. She subsequently developed an expertise in film production and produced award-winning documentaries on health issues, such as The Drugging of Our Children, Fatal Fallout and Vaccine Nation. She had deep faith in God and knows she is saved. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 - 9 PM for visitation at the funeral home. The funeral on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack.
