Obituary of Albin J. Nowakowski

ALBIN J. NOWAKOWSKI, of Maywood, formerly of Hackensack, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 98 years. Prior to retiring he owned and operated 51 Street Butchers Shop in North Bergen for many years and was a machinist for Rudco Industries in Teaneck. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He was a past commander of the Disabled Veteran of Little Ferry, a Canary Bird Fancier, and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack. Beloved husband to the late Hedwig T. (nee Ruda) who passed away in 2008. Loving father of Beverly M. Patrizze and her husband the late Captain Joseph Patrizze retired Bergen Co. Sheriff Officer of Hackensack and Robert D. Nowakowski and his wife Paula of Manchester. Cherished grandfather of Rachel Patrizze, Ashley McPartlin and her husband Casey, Breanne Patrizze and Mary Nowakowski. Dearest brother of the late Walter Nowakowski, Helen Streemke and Jean Wisniewski. Albin is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral on Tuesday, April 17, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave., Hackensack at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation.
