Death is final but not the end just like your advice to us will continue to guide us long after you are gone. I saw and witnessed your pain and suffering. If there was a way I could have shared that pain with you, maybe you could still be with us but it was not possible. My dear brother, Rest In Peace till we meet again. Go well. Owen

Sekuru Lingard, you raised me when I moved to the US and always had great advise and stories. I remember our favourite word "skendem", but could never figured put what that meant. I remember the few beers we had in the backyard whenever we had a mini bbq (braai). You taught me how to drive on US roads and taught me how to parallel park too (lol). So many lovely memories. You were so kind and gentle and there was always a calmness about you. I will always love and miss you Sekuru Lingard. Till we meet again.

My dearest brother... I never got to meet you in person, although I knew very much of you from Baba, Sekuru Jacob and our other siblings. It’s a great and significant comfort to know that you left memories of love and kindness in the people who got to know you - in a way, I feel it too. I’m proud to know that I’ll soon be following in your footsteps, as a biochemistry major myself (what a coincidence), and I’ll hopefully leave my own footprint like yours.
Until we meet, Brother Bear, I love you always x

I remember you always telling me that a good Education is essential and a priority but the greatest thing one could ever possess is the love for family. You taught us to love and you had the kindest heart.
I will always cherish the memories I have of you. Go well Sekuru.

Lingard my brother, you left a lesson of love. You fulfilled the new commandment that Jesus gave to us before He left the earth.
"John 13:34.
A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE TO YOU, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, ". SO LOVING AND SO CARING YOU WERE. YOU FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT OF LOVE TO THE END. MAY YOUR HUMBLE SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE TILL JESUS COMES.
I would have loved to be present as you go down into your resting place, but covid-19 does not permit.

The most important thing my uncle taught me is to love others. To always value family and even when things don't make sense to us, to always do the things that make our family members smile. He taught me that material things aren't important. In His own special way he was a hero, one who always went went an extra mile for others. Even when my uncle was unwell, he still took time to ensure that we were okay, his selflessness is out of this world. He will forever be loved and hold a special place in our lives❤❤ May His soul rest in eternal peace❤❤
