Obituary of Lingard L Mtengwa

Lingard Mtengwa, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at home at the age of 63 years. Born in Mberengwa Zimbabwe, he came to this country in 1977 settling in Philadelphia and had lived in Hackensack for 25 years. Ligard worked as a Medical Technologist at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. He Graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry and a Masters degree in Laboratory Science. He was an avid bowler and loves animals. Beloved husband of Rose Mtengwa (nee Yekeh) for 33 years. Loving father of Tendai Ndhlovu of Baltimore, MD, Leroy Mtengwa and his wife Katrina of North East Maryland, Michael Mtengwa of Hackensack, Nicholas Mtengwa of Hackensack. Loving grandfather of Evelyn and Evan. Dearest brother of Bruce Mtengwa and his wife Pretty of Zimbabwe, Beauty Ratisai and her husband Zimukai of Zimbabwe, Sithabile Chiriseri of South Africa, Owen Ndhlovu and his wife Marvelous of Indianapolis, Indiana. The funeral service will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, Saturday, November 21, from 10:30 to 12;30 AM, with Burial following at George Washington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
