I also remember fond memories of going to their house "in the woods" and running around out back. Dad used to take Carol and I on Sundays. Aunt Eleanor made some great meals; also remember her cheese cake. Uncle Pepe used to call me "chatterbox" .
Knowing she is now at peace with Uncle Pepe , my dad and her brothers and sisters.

Aunt Eleanor - Gosh, sooo many great memories. The house on Warren Street. All the sisters walking and shopping all along Main Street. Aunt Eleanor worked the lunch counter at F.W. Woolworths's store on Main Street, where you would choose a balloon over the counter that they would pop to see how much you paid for a banana split ice cream! Sundays (every Sunday) at Grandma's house on Union Street with all the Aunts and Cousins. The family trips to Ringwood at the edge of the Frontier of civilization at the time . . . building their house one cinder block at a time, starting 10 feet down on the bedrock with a full basement. The old blue pick-up truck with the running side boards that we drove all over the property.
We would always visit Uncle Pep and Aunt Eleanor when we used to travel back to New Jersey to visit my Brother. Our son Andrew (who is now 24) still talks about his memories of them. Aunt Eleanor's great home made Cheesecake, her famous Sock-It-To-Me cake, and baked biscotti. While Uncle Pep took Andrew around the property, and of course, showed him the also famous buried pickup truck (see above!), Aunt Eleanor would have tons of cold cuts for sandwiches, and salads. Can still hear her say,' More, have more!" and bring lots packed to bring back! And both Her, and Uncle Pep's laughs.
A white Votive Candle just like we used to light at Church with a long thin stick.
Aunt Eleanor was the Best, and she will live on in our hearts and our memories for all time.

ALWAYS liked going to Uncle Peps and Aunt Eleanors house "way out" in the woods of Ringwood. From the memories we had helping build the house as kids (we learned how to do so many things) to the week "vacations "we would spend there going thru the woods with John. Aunt Eleanor made the BEST cheesecake with pineapple on top and that thick sugary crust!! And last but not least MY personal favorite......GLOP!(as she named it) Chop meat, sauce ,cabbage over white bread on a plate.
Great memories for me and still tell everyone these stories. The impact a simple, nice person like Aunt Eleanor lasts forever, I cant thank her enough for being a good sister to my mom when she was sick and now I pray for her eternal peace and well being now that they will all be together.
God Bless..
