Obituary of Vincenzo Barricella

Vincenzo Barricella, of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the age of 93. Vincenzo was born in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi (Avellino) Italy, on May 6th 1927. He came to America in 1972, with his wife Maria and two sons, Carmine and Francesco. He worked for 15 years with Aniero Concrete Company in Hackensack. After retiring, Vincenzo enjoyed spending most of his time in his garden and with his friends and family. Devoted husband for 72 years to Maria (nee Competiello). Beloved father of Carmine and his wife Filomena, Francesco and his wife Francesca. Adored nonno to his grandchildren Anthony and his wife Katie, Lisa and her husband George, Maria, Marcella and Natalie and his four great-grandchildren Madison, Abigail, Anthony and Nicholas. The Funeral will begin on Tuesday March 9, at 8:45 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
