Obituary of Nunziata "Tina" Zisa

Nunziata "Tina" Zisa, 92 of Hackensack, formerly of Comiso, Italy passed away on March 28th. She was the wife of the late Rosario Zisa who died in 2010. Born in Comiso, Italy September 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Vincenzo & Carmela (Ali) LaRaffa and the youngest sibling of 6 children. Tina lived in Hackensack for over 50 years after getting married in Italy. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing, and knitting. She loved being around her family and enjoyed sitting around her kitchen table having coffee with her friends. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. Devoted mother of Maria Zisa-Dowling and her husband Vincent Dowling of Franklin, MA and the late John Zisa of Hackensack. Loving grandmother of Lisa and her husband Jovan, Brandon and his wife Katelyn and Megan. Loving great grandmother to Jacob and Nathan. The funeral will begin on Thursday, April 8, at 9:15 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 - 9PM for visitation.
