Obituary of Maria Browne

Maria Browne (nee Pedone) of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the age of 72 years. Prior to retiring she worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Norman A. Bleshman Regional Day School for the Bergen County Special Service's in Paramus for many years. She was a former Gymnast Coach at the YMCA in Hackensack and a Coach for the New Jersey Special Olympics. Maria was also a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack. Beloved wife to Kenneth J. Browne for 48 years. Loving mother of Edward Browne and Grace Frangiosa and her husband David. Cherished grandmother to Charleigh, Kenneth and Marco. Dearest sister of Joseph Pedone and his partner Beverly Mancini. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 6:00 PM for visitation at the Funeral Home. The Funeral will begin on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 Noon at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack.
