Maria Totaro (nee Manieri) of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the age of 68 years. Born in Palazzo San Gervasio, Italy she came to the United States in 1975 and lived with family before settling in South Hackensack in 1999. Maria started as a seamstress for various coat factories and then become a front end manager for ACME Supermarket for many years. Maria was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved wife to Nicola Totaro for 32 years. Loving mother of Michael Totaro and fiancé Marilin. Throughout her life, she always dedicated her time and love to her family. The Funeral will begin on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 9:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 11:00 AM, burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
