John Joseph Casisa, Sr., 88, of Maywood, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, January 30th, 2025.

John was born in St. Mary's Hospital in Hoboken, New Jersey to Nellie and John Casisa on July 6th, 1936. He went to Fort Lee High School and later transferred to Bergen Tech School in Hackensack the year it opened and was one of its first graduates. John owned and operated J.C. Television Service in Maywood for many decades. He enjoyed model trains and building model cars and airplanes.

Beloved husband to the late Phyllis Ann Casisa (nee Parinello) (2024). Loving Father to Susan Greenspan (nee Casisa) and her husband Mark, of Bergenfield; John J. Casisa Jr. and his wife Anna, of Somerset; Michael A. Casisa of Virginia Beach, VA.

Cherished Papa/Grandpa to Alyssa, Steven, Anthony, Nicholas, Kristina, Cristy, Chelsea, and Ryan. Great Grandfather to Josephine, Eleanor, Joseph, and Lia Phyllis. Dearest Brother to Joseph Casisa and his wife Martha of Florida.

A Funeral Service will begin on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday Morning from 9:00-11:00 AM for visitation.
