Marie Mariniello, of River Edge, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the age of 91 years. Prior to retiring, she worked as a Manager for New Jersey Bell in Rochelle Park for many years. Marie was a lifelong and faithful parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack. Marie was known as the "Cookie Aunt" kind and giving and loved by many. Born to Mary and Joseph Mariniello and raised in Hackensack, she lived 25 years in River Edge. Loving sister of Joseph Mariniello, Dolores Mellett, Patricia Hartenstein and sister-in-law to Sandy Mariniello. She is pre-deceased by Anna Parisi, Theresa Sweeney and Anthony Mariniello. A wonderful Aunt Marie to 15 nieces/nephews, 28 great-nieces/nephews and 4 great-great nieces/nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 24th 2025 at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 445 5th Avenue, River Edge with entombment following at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Washington Township. The family will receive friends, Monday morning from 9:00 – 11:30 AM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack.
