Paul A. Romaine, Jr, "Buddy" of Hackensack, NJ, and Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Buddy was an Army Veteran who then served as Lieutenant with the Hackensack Police Department for 32 years retiring in 1995. He was a dedicated member of the P.B.A. Local #9, the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council #747, Hackensack, where he was a Past Grand Knight and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. Buddy was beloved husband to Patricia (nee Africano) for 59 years; loving father of Lori Romaine-Jencarelli and Michele Romaine, father-in-law to James Jencarelli, sister Patricia Romano, brother-in-law James Africano and a dear friend to many. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00PM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
