Koch, Nancy M. of Hackensack, NJ passed on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 70. Devoted daughter of the late Edward J. and Adelaide M. (Wunner). Cherished sister of the late Mary Anne Aurich (Robert), Edward R. Koch (Cora), Frances Koch, and Joseph Koch (Debbie). Loving aunt to Christie Aurich Taylor (Josh), Mark Aurich (Lyn), Matthew Koch, Kristen Koch, Edward P. Koch, and William Koch. Doting great-aunt to Taylor Aurich. Nancy was a loving and affectionate granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many. Nancy, the middle child of a large family, was our exceptional communicator, guiding our family through difficult challenges as well as keeping in close contact with our relatives. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Australia, many Canadian provinces and U.S. states. In addition, she loved all dogs but was particularly fond of dachshunds. Nancy was an avid Mets and Devils fan as well. Nancy was a dedicated teacher in the primary grades for ERESC (Essex Regional Education Services Commission), Nancy taught Compensatory Education, reading, writing, mathematics, and Supplemental Instruction improving the lives of her students, fellow teachers and school administrators. She also was a volunteer for the New Jersey Striders (track club) summer series. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Funeral will begin on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 8:45 AM at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. Burial will be private.
