The family of Daniel Hallihan sadly announce his passing on July 10, 2025. He was born September 2, 1948 to Elizabeth and James Hallihan. Daniel married the love of his life, Nancyann Macula on January 26, 1969 and they shared 56 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancyann; their children Christopher and his wife Kristen, Jonathan and his wife Stephanie, Merin and her husband Christopher, and grandchildren; Cameron and his fiancée Alyssa, Devon, Logan, Brennan, Gavin, Morgan, Shannon, Alexandra, and Gabriella. Dan also leaves behind his sister Mary Lou, brother James and his wife Theresa, Kathleen and her husband George, and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was a CPA and started his accounting career at Price Waterhouse, and continued his career at Amerada Hess, Volt Information Sciences, and retired from Kaztronics in 2018. In his retirement, he worked at Apex Copy & Print, a business owned by his daughter Merin and Son-In-Law Christopher, as the Controller and Vice President.
Daniel will be remembered for his selfless dedication to his family and friends, welcoming and warm nature, his advice and words of wisdom, as well as his incredible work ethic and amazing sense of humor. He loved to plant, grow fruits and vegetables in his beautiful garden, feed the birds, and create gorgeous holiday themed tableaus on the front lawn.
A memorial service will be held at Thomas Gentile Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20th from 3-7 PM, which is located at 397 Union St, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Monday, July 21st at 10:30 AM, which is located at 34 Maple Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
