It’s not easy say goodbye to a man like my father. He was a giant in our lives to anyone who knew him. I am the luckiest guy for having been his son.
Since I was a young boy, I remember being proud of the kind of man he was. He was hard-working, but was patient with us while we will learn the value of a hard work. He was very loving and spared no opportunity to tell us that he loved us and how important family was. He was a visionary and dreamt of a life of freedom while living a lifetime in an oppressive regime. He was incredibly courageous and thanks to that courage, all of us here are better off, living a life full of opportunities. He never complained of how hungry he was, but instead would share his food with us kids. I don’t remember him tired, yet later his body would show signs of all the stress and hard work he had to endure.
His strong will to succeed through hard work is in all of us. His wisdom, guidance, and strength through a united family have taken root in all of us. I’m so happy my kids got to know him.
“You have four beautiful boys, and a brave wife” he would tell me often and proudly. I have so many memories to cherish and share with them as they get older.
Today we come to pay respects and lay his body to rest, but hold dear everything else that made him the great man that he was.

For my Father-in Law
A guiding hand, a steady soul,
A heart of kindness ,pure and whole.
Thought not by blood, yet still so true ,
You gave your love as fathers do.
Your wisdom lives in all your taught,
In gentle words, in caring thought.
Your memory shines, a lasting flame ,
We’ll always honor your good name .
Though you have gone , you’re never far ,
Your spirits spirit’s light’s our brightest star.
In every smile , in every day ,
Your love will never fade away .
Thank you for marrying my mother-in-law and having your wonderful son, now my husband of 13 years. I especially thank you for accepting me as his girlfriend 14 years ago. Thank you for raising that strong, hard-working, son and amazing father of four little boys.
It won’t be easy to leave up to your idea of hard work, dedication, and diligence . it won’t be easy to celebrate birthdays and holidays. It won’t be easy to look through photo albums and videos. It won’t be easy to see my mother-in-law and her kids without you but we are making it. We are surviving just like you would want us to just know that you are missed terribly and always will be
Thank you for the beautiful life you created for us bringing us to United States of America with a lot of hard work and sacrifice. RIP Papo Taso
Sincerely, your daughter-in-law Alexandra Tosuni .
