Anthony Dinaro Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for his life, we remember and celebrate our beloved Uncle Tony who passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025 after many years of illness.

Though his health limited him in recent years, his spirit never dimmed. Uncle Tony was a constant source of love and kindness for our family.

He will be remembered for his colorful storytelling, his generosity to family members and friends and deep bonds he shared with those who knew him best. His love of photography yielded hundreds of beautiful photos of flowers in bloom, nature, his beautiful calico cats and his beloved special needs daughter Laura. His daughter was the "love" of his life and he spent many days and hours enriching her life with attendance at concerts, movies, and sports activities. His love of opera was a source of great joy, and attended many life performances at the Metropolitan Opera in NY, including the 25th anniversary of the great Pavaratti. His family, friends, and doctors will also remember his famous "tomato" salad and enormous apples that became his "signature" gifts wherever he went.

He is survived by his daughter Laura, his niece Eleanor Joos (Bill), nephew Joseph Baeli (Carol), niece Jennifer Lyons (Greg), nephew John Baeli (Ann), and great nephews, Erik and Kevin Baeli, Sam Evans (Denisse), Joseph Fobert (Nadia) and great-great nephew Zachary and niece Annabel, and great nephew Tom and fiancé Jessica who will forever cherish his legacy of love. He was preceded in death by his parents Jennie and James, his sister Josephine and husband Joseph, brother Rosario, and niece Joann.

We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with loved ones who went before him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10th, 2025 at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 11:00 AM.
