Patricia J. De Laura (nee Schnabel), 78, of South Hackensack, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on January 8, 2026. Patricia was born January 30, 1947 and grew up in Hackensack, NJ.

After graduating from Hackensack High School in 1965, she went on to study nursing at the Bergen Pines School of Practical Nursing. After graduation in 1966, Patricia worked at Englewood Hospital as a LPN. She enjoyed photography, traveling the country and loved listening to the music of Johnny Mathis. If you were a friend of Patricia, there was no end to her loyalty and generosity. She will be greatly missed.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Patsy, of 55 years; two daughters, Stacey Zegla and her husband Andrew, Danielle De Laura and dear grandson, Matthew. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Schnabel, and nephew Brian Schnabel. Predeceased by her parents, Edwin & Joan Schnabel (nee Van Valen) and brother, John Schnabel. Visitation will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral will begin on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 with a prayer service at 10:00 am at the funeral home and burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hackensack, NJ.
