James Brady Obituary

James "Jim" Brady was born in Englewood, New Jersey on December 11, 1953, to Harold Brady and

Doris Brady, nee Hermann. Jim lived most of his life in Englewood, Leonia, and Hackensack.

At the time of his death in November of 2025, Jim had no living family members. His only sibling, Joan,

passed away in April, 2025 in Peabody, Massachusetts. Jim's extreme honesty and humility are

documented on-line and were once the subject of a network tv report.

Jim was cherished by his many friends for his wit, his depth of knowledge, his unconventional thinking,

and his stoic approach to life. He often shared vignettes of his ability to get through his daily existence

on minimal means. He invariably did so cheerfully.

Jim was knowledgeable about many things, among them cars, (he drove a convertible in his teens) the

geography of New Jersey, finance, Bloomberg boxes and many, many other topics. He worked in

many different fields in his lifetime. To his credit he overcame a serious case of PTSD and lived a full

life.

OnanInternet blog, Jim was known as the chairman of the night crew among his friends.

Photography was among his passions. He was a graduate of Dwight Morrow High School and earned

many credits at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He studied investigative photography, and was, at one

time, employed by CBS records to photograph rock band performances. Later in life, he reawakened

those photographic skills, taking photographs of community events, concerts, religious processions

and other events of northern New Jersey communities, despite some serious medical issues. He

posted his art on line where it was appreciated by his friends.

Jim will be missed by his many friends, many online worldwide. He joins other friends of his who have

passed away, including Captain, Daddy, Peter UK, MT, Dr. J, GUS, Bufford Gooch, Kevlar Kid, Art in

Newport, hrtshpdbox, Dr. J., Comanche voter, PD in Detroit, pagar, Susan Donovan, Danube and frau.

AmongJim's many friends were pilots, engineers, doctors, lawyers, bloggers, guitarists, editors and

computer programmers. Those surviving him are comforted that he will be joining an elite group of

enlightened people who will welcome him with open arms in their eternal life.

Sincerest thanks to the late Robert Flynn for his assistance in persuading Jim Brady to come to

Manhattan where he met with others who had known him only on-line
