Maria Lourdes Gutierrez, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 1, 1953, in Manta Ecuador, Maria carried with her the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of her homeland throughout her life. She later made her home in New York, where she met her beloved husband and built a life centered on love, resilience, and family. Recently widowed, Maria's devotion to her family remained unwavering. She was a proud and loving mother to her two daughters, Josselin and Carolina, who were the center of her world. Maria was also a devoted daughter and a wonderful sister, whose love, loyalty, and presence meant so much to all of her siblings. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle nature, and beautiful sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. Maria's legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
