Patricia M. Matchok (nee DeDonato), of Rochelle Park, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the age of 81 years. Patricia had a tremendous love for her country, she especially enjoyed walking on the beach, hiking and was extremely outgoing and loved talking to everyone. Prior to retiring she worked as a secretary for New Jersey Bell in Rochelle Park for many years and was a member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA). She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Rochelle Park, where she was active in the Food Pantry, Bible Study and Adoration in the Catholic Church. Beloved wife to George J. Matchok for 63 years. Loving mother of Michelle Wolenski and her husband Hank, Christina Becker and her husband Warren and Brian G. Matchok and his wife Wendy. Devoted grandmother of Matthew, Tristan, Katherine, Lucas and Connor. Dearest sister of Linda Kunzweiler and her late husband Richard (2024). The funeral will begin on Saturday, May 16, at 9:30 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Sacred Heart, 12 Terrace Avenue, Rochelle Park at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
