Rose M. Stavola (nee Squillace), of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the age of 99 years. Prior to retiring she owned and operated A. Answer Phone of New Jersey, in Englewood for many years. Rose was the past president of SEED of Englewood Hospital, a member of Catholic Daughters' of America, and a member of St. Cecilia's R.C. Church, Englewood, NJ. Beloved wife for 67 years to the late John L. Stavola (2014). Loving mother to Maria R. Giorgio and her husband John and the late Dominick J. Stavola (2023). Cherished grandmother of Melissa MacKenzie and her husband Scott, John Giorgio and his wife Shanae, Michael Giorgio and his wife Anna and Patti Collins and her husband Bob. Adored great grandmother of Jake, Skylar, Lucas, Michael, Emery, Ashton, Reed, Weston, Cameron Collins and his wife Katarina and Luke Collins. Great-Great-grandmother to Anthony and Vinny Collins. Dearest sister of the late Angelina Marino, Mary DeGregorio, Antoinette Monacchio, Joseph Squillace and Vincent Squillace. Rose is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday morning, May 18, 2026 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ, with the Mass of Christian Burial following at St. Cecilia's R.C. Church, 55 West Demarest Avenue, Englewood, NJ at 12:00 Noon.
