Ignazio Cacciatore, of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 71 years. Born in Santo Stefano Quisquina Italy, he came to the United States in 1979. Prior to retiring, he worked in the maintenance department for Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack, a lifelong and devoted Juventus FC fan, loved cooking his traditional Sicilian dishes for his close family and friends and spending time with his adored grandchildren. Beloved husband of Francia (nee Perez) for 44 years. Devoted father of Angelo Cacciatore and his wife Cristina and Alex Cacciatore and his wife Alexandra. Cherished grandfather to Gabriel, Viviana and Poppy. Devoted son of the late Angelo and Angela Cacciatore. Dearest brother of Rosalia Castellano and her husband Jack, and the late Salvatore Cacciatore. The Funeral will begin on Saturday, June 6, at 8:30 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated; 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
