Obituary of Armand Palazzi

ARMAND PALAZZI, 79 of South Hackensack went to his eternal rest Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River. Retired bus transportation coordinator for the County of Bergen, and tax assessor for South Hackensack, Little Ferry, Rochelle Park, Palisades Park, Maywood, Wood-Ridge, Bergenfield, Lodi and Carlstadt. Graduate of Memorial High School in West New York, and Thomas Edison State College. Past member of the South Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance Corp., South Hackensack Senior Citizen’s Club, elected to the South Hackensack Township Committee, served as Deputy Mayor and as Police Commissioner. He helped create the Recreation Commission, and was also appointed Township historian. Armand is survived by Gloria Palazzi and their three children. Son Robert Palazzi and his wife Elise, and her two daughters. Daughter Kelly Palazzi and her husband Gregory Hoffmann and Daughter Karla Mutchko. Eight grand-children, John Jr., Kaitlyn and Kristy Mutchko; Alicia Palazzi and Ian Hoffmann; Brianna, Trevor and Taylor Palazzi. Predeceased by brother, Leonard Palazzi. Survived by sister, Lorraine Vallillo and her husband Edward, and sister Joyce Stark, many cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20, at 11:00 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Jude Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
