Obituary of Paul A. Polifrone

PAUL A. POLIFRONE, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 24, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 9, 1946, in Hackensack, NJ, where he was deeply rooted, he resided in Bergen County for 55 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. After 29 years with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, he retired in 2000 as Lieutenant and Director of the Bergen County Narcotics Task Force. In 2002, he and his wife retired to Williamsburg, VA where he had a successful real estate with Lennar Corporation. His passion for history led him to serve as a docent with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation giving informative tours of the Wetherburn and Everard House. Paul will always be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heartedness, generosity, strong work ethics and his devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol A. (nee Corbran) Polifrone, whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Dedicated and loving father to Jane L. Moore and her husband Brian of Warrington, VA, and Kate A. Kelley of Williamsburg, VA. Incredible "Papa" to his cherished grandchildren, Colin Edward Moore, Graham Connor Kelley, and Alayna Jane Moore. Devoted son of the late Paul A. Polifrone Sr. and Theresa Itro Polifrone. Dearest brother of Dominic Polifrone, Frank Polifrone, Richard Polifrone, Theresa Lavallo, Anthony Polifrone, and JoAnn Navatto. Uncle of Christopher Polifrone, Brandon Polifrone, Paul Polifrone, Jennifer Navatto, Lisa Marie McKegney and Prina Polifrone. The funeral on Friday, June 1st, at 8:30 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 9:30 AM. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
