Obituary of Olivia S. Hutcherson

Olivia Summer Hutcherson, age 34, of Ridgefield, NJ passed away on November 25, 2023 at home with her family. Funeral service will be held at Gentile Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00pm with Pastor Paula and Bishop Joshua Rodriguez of City Line Church speaking. A "Celebration of Life" reception will follow at Sedona Taphouse, Cliffside Park, NJ, 4:30pm - 7:00pm. Olivia was born in Atlanta, GA to Diana Sullivan on 6/29/1989. She went to high school at Ridgefield High and graduated in June 2007. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Montclair State University with a major in Communication & Media and minor in Musical Theater. Olivia worked as a dancer, choreographer, actress, singer, songwriter, poet & public speaker her entire adult life. She loved God, family and friends; communicating hope and inspiration; and using her own unique gifts to selflessly help others. Olivia had countless achievements including, but not limited to, being a five time gold medal winner in the International Latin Ballroom Division; San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleader; Top 30 Finalist on So You Think You Can Dance (S8); published author of poetry book (and audio book), The Show Must Go On; and was very actively involved in church. Her biggest accomplishment of all was "fighting the good fight (against cancer), finishing the race, and keeping the faith. Olivia is survived by her mother, Diana Sullivan; beloved brother, Robert D Hutcherson, III; uncle, aunt and daughter, Mark, Shea and Olive Hutcherson; cousins, Robin, Jim, Julie and Ryan Linton; cousin, David and Mary D'andrea; special family friend, Patrick Law; and love of her life, Francesco Flumiani . She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nina Louise Sullivan; and grandparents, Robert and Marion Hutcherson. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who loved and supported her: family and friends, John Theurer Cancer Center staff, VHS Hospice staff, pastoral clergy and congregation. Olivia's legacy to all who knew her was LOVE. The scripture upon which she lived her life was from Matthew 22: 37-39 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself."
