Obituary of John P Cascione

John P. Cascione, of Hackensack (born in Grumo, Bari, Italy) passed away peacefully on Monday December 11, 2023 at the age of 88. Prior to retiring John worked as a Butcher for many years at ShopRite in Englewood, Rochelle Park and Paramus. He was a parishoner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack and a devoted member of their Padre Pio Group . Beloved husband of the late Carmela (nee Cerrato) 2005. Devoted father to Michael Cascione and his wife Suzette of Paramus, and Rita R. Liggio and her husband Anthony of Hackensack. Cherished grandfather to Nicole and her husband Brian Doyle, Alexa, Michelle, Anthony, Gianna and great-grandfather of Brian and Amelia. Dearest brother of Maria Cascione and the late Chiara Antonino. The Funeral will begin from G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, on Thursday December 14, at 8:45AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi St. Hackensack, with burial following at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 13, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the Funeral Home.
