Obituary of Emilio V. Arela

Emilio Villaseñor Arela, beloved husband of Angelita Angeles Arela, passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 81. Emilio was a devoted family man and a loving father to his four sons, Joel Angeles Arela, Emilio Angeles Arela Jr., Jeffrey Angeles Arela, and Jason Angeles Arela. He was born on January 5, 1943. He grew up in Lopez, Quezon, Philippines. He graduated from Mapúa Institute of Technology in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Emilio immigrated to the United States of America in 1977. The majority of his career was spent as an Electrical Engineer with Rudell & Associates located in Elmhurst, Queens, NY. Emilio was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack, NJ for many years. He also attended Lighthouse of Faith in Garfield, NJ. Predeceased by his parents Jorge and Salome Arela. Emilio Villaseñor Arela is survived by his wife Angelita Arela, Son Joel Arela, Son Emilio Arela Jr. and his wife Ella, Son Jeffrey Arela and his wife Dina, and Son Jason Arela. Grandchildren Erin Aibe Arela, Jeydin Eman Manansala Arela, Jeycob Emil Arela, Jeremy Derek Arela, and Jeyna Faith Arela. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 1, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Saturday March 2 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. A funeral service will begin on Saturday March 2, 3:00 PM.
