Obituary of Vincent M. Scanapieco
Vincent M. Scanapieco, of South Hackensack, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at his home, at the age of 76 years. He was born in the Bronx, New York. Prior to retiring, he was an upholsterer and owned Scano Upholstery of Hackensack. He also owned Scana Restaurant of South Hackensack. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was and avid golfer and was a member of Cosmo's Italian Club of Fair Lawn and a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack. He is survived by his wife Lucy Plati Scanapieco, two daughters, Patricia Ariza and her husband Jose of Hopatcong and Linda Visaggio and her husband Mario of Kinnelon, his son Vincent Scanapieco and his wife Rosa of South Hackensack, his grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Gianene, Jeff, Eric, Andrew and Jennifer, and a sister, Ann Herman of Lynwood. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, on Saturday at 10:00 AM, Reverend Gerard J. Graziano officiating. Cremation will follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory in Paterson. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
