Obituary of Eleanor D. Montenegro

ELEANOR D. MONTENEGRO (nee OKUNIEWSKI), of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the age of 87. She was a member of the South Hackensack Ladies Auxiliary and a parishioner of Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Arthur G. Montenegro, Sr. (1995). Loving mother of Judith A. Wiltse and her husband Richard, Lori M. Marini and her husband Silvio, Michael J. Montenegro, Sr. and his wife Dona, and the late Arthur G. Montenegro, Jr. (1996) and his wife Ann. Cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Gertrude Witkowski, and the late Edward, Leo, Edmund, and Alfred Okuniewski and the late Alice De Vincentis, Sophie Westerfield, and Theresa Burgher. Eleanor is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral on Saturday October 26, at 8:45 AM from the Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO BOX 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.
