Obituary of Arthur A. Schigotzki

ARTHUR ARNOLD SCHIGOTZKI, 70, of Hackensack, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013, after a two and a half year battle with cancer, following extensive treatments. Arthur was born in Maspeth, Queens, N.Y., raised in Jersey City, and was a graduate of Dickinson High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a communication specialist stationed at Fort Richie/ Camp David, Maryland. After an honorable discharge from the Army, Arthur worked for Swiss Air. He then worked for JP Morgan in Manhattan for 28 years as an operation supervisor and a systems liaison. After retirement from JP Morgan, he worked for Liberty Sweeping Services and H & R Block. Arthur also served as a volunteer for Hackensack Medical Center for two years. Arthur is survived by his loving siblings, Robert Schigotzki and his wife Mary of FL, Thomas Schigotzki of NJ, and Joann Pinard and her husband Jim of NH. He is also survived by several nieces and many faithful friends and co-workers. Arthur was predeceased by his brothers George, John, Wallace, and his nephew Robert. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ, 07071. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arthur’s memory to Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey, 575 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
