Obituary of Donald J. Nardozza

DONALD J. NARDOZZA, SR., of Hackensack, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the age of 73. Prior to retiring he worked for Teamsters Local # 560 as a truck driver. Donald was also a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion Post # 142, in Maywood. He was also an active member of the V.A. of Hackensack. In 1989 Donald Founded and became the President of the Bergen County American Cruisers Club. This Club raised money every year for a special child in need. Beloved husband of Ida Jane (nee Weaver) for 46 years; Loving father of Donald Nardozza, Jr. of Hackensack, Dona Montenegro and her husband Michael of Maywood, Dina Picciallo and her husband David of Mahwah, and Harold Creason and his wife Linda of Norfolk, VA; Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Michael, Brianna, Jessica, Christina, Michelle, Anna, Ashley, Dane, and Christopher; and Dearest brother of the late Ann “Cookie” Frei. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 5th, at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Park Cemetery, Totowa. The family will receive friends on Wednesday for visitation from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Donald’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
