Obituary of Patricia A. O'Day

PATRICIA A. HAMMOND O'DAY of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the age of 80 years. Prior to retiring, she worked for the Hackensack Board of Education as the secretary to the principal at Jackson Avenue School. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church where she was a former C.C.D. teacher and a member of the Rosary Society. She also attended Sacred Heart Church in Rochelle Park. Beloved wife of the late Donald J. O'Day who died in 2004. Devoted mother of Clifford J. O'Day and wife Marie of Rochelle Park, Kim Brown and husband Tim of Jackson, Linda Lax and husband Bob of Warwick, NY, Donna Abbattista and husband John of Emerson and Patricia Kraljic and husband Peter of Rochelle Park. Loving grandmother of Tara, Robbie, Jeff, Amanda, Peter, Lauren, Danny, Eric, Taylor, Brian and Rachel. Dearest sister of the late Dolores Hammond, Joan Herrick, and Robert Hammond. The funeral on Friday. March 14th, at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack at 10:30 AM with entombment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
