Obituary of Virginia S. Pepe-Vasile

Virginia S. Belsky Pepe-Vasile ,of Leisure Village West, Manchester, died on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the JFK Hospice Center in Edison at the age of 86 years She was born in New York City on November 22, 1920 and later moved to Emerson where she met her first husband of 52 years, Pasquale A. Pepe Sr. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption and a member of their Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Emerson Fire Department. She and her husband then moved to Ridgewood and Hackensack and became parishioners of St. Francis R. C. Church in Hackensack, Pasquale passed away in 1991 and Virginia continued to live in Hackensack and in 1992 she married her long time friend, Anthony Vasile, They relocated to Point Pleasant until Anthony died in 1999 and Virginia relocated to Manchester. In her leisure, she enjoyed watching the Yankees and visiting Atlantic City. Virginia was a stay at home Mom, who valued her children more than life itself. She is survived by her son Pasquale A. Pepe Jr. and his wife Barbara of Elmwood Park, her daughter, Sally Leeds and her husband Stephen of Toms River and her grandchildren, Pasquale A. Pepe III and his wife Stephanie, Justin P. Leeds, Jason Boord, Debbie Grass and Joseph Grass. She was also predeceased by a daughter Anne Louise Boord who died in 1994, two brothers, Jack Belsky and John Belsky and a sister Ann Ritter. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting will be on Monday evening from 7 - 9 PM and Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
