Obituary of Lucy Princiotta
LUCY MILAZZO PRINCIOTTA , of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012, at the age of 96 years. She was born to the late Giacomo and Maria Leonforte Milazzo in New York City, on December 24, 1915. Lucy was one of seven siblings, Charles, Joseph, Jenny, Vera, Angie and Eleanor. She was married to the late William J. Princiotta in 1935, and they resided together 35 years in Teaneck and Beach Haven, N J, before relocating to Vero Beach, Florida. Lucy loved people and everyone loved "Lucy". Above all, she loved her three children, fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, numerous family members and friends. She is survived by her son Joseph Princiotta of Brick Township and two daughters, Phyllis Mallory and her husband Charles, and Maria Sayre and her husband George, both residing in Vero Beach, Florida. Lucy loved art and music and her prize possession was an honorary degree from Manhattan School of Music, she received at the age of 94. She was also awarded recognition for her oil painting, a modern rendition of a jazz band, by the New Jersey Art Guild. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, on Saturday, June 16th, at 10:30 AM with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hackensack.
