Obituary of Carmine Procino

Carmine ''Harry" Procino, 95, of West Milford, formerly of Hackensack, died on Friday, November 11, 2005. He worked for 20 years at the Gaede Silk Mills of Paterson where he made parachutes for the war. He then became a postal worker for both the South Hackensack and Edgewater Postal Systems and was a former vice president and Shop Stewart for the American Postal Workers Union. He also spent two years in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack and was a member of the Trinity Leisure Club of Hackensack. Predeceased by his wife the late Carmela Spinelli Procino, a son Mark Procino, and a sister Mary Nazzaretto, he is survived by his son Robert Procino and his wife Diane of Waldwick, a daughter, Amalia "Amy" Solimano and her husband Danny of Wyckoff, his grandchildren, Marc Procino and his wife Lisa of Massachusetts, Matthew Procino and his wife Mercer of Massachusetts, and Leah Procino of Hackettstown, a great grandson Michael Procino, a sister Dora Wille of Wallington, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be on Wednesday, November 16th, at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. John's R. C. Church, Food Pantry, 22 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102 would be appreciated. Visiting at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
