Obituary of Angelo G. Koutris
Angelo G. Koutris, passed away peacefully at his home in Hackensack, surrounded by his loving family on September 3, 2015, at the age of 83 years. He was born on January 5, 1932 in Athens, Greece to George and Helen (Vulgaris) Koutroubinis. Angelo immigrated to the United States in 1953, earned his Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering at Philadelphia University in 1957, and in 1963 received his US citizenship. On August 29, 1964, he married his loving wife of 51 years, Michele A. Palladino. Angelo was a devoted father, husband and grandfather (known as Papou to his grandchildren). He was an active man who loved the beach and the great outdoors. He enjoyed the pleasures of gardening, fishing, biking and camping but his greatest joy was being together with family and friends. Angelo was fervently proud of his American citizenship, always instilling a sense of gratitude and patriotism into his family and for over 45 years, he led an accomplished career in the textile industry as both an executive and entrepreneur. Angelo is survived by his wife, Michele; his son, George Koutris and daughter-in-law, Kathleen of Colts Neck; daughter, Lissa Love and son-in-law, Gene of Northvale; daughter, Laura Koutris of Mahwah; five grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel and Catherine Koutris and James and Nicole Love. He was uncle to Helen and Alex Giannakis and Helen, Stacey and George Koutroubinis. Angelo was also the brother of the late Katina Giannakis and Jimmy Koutroubinis. A private service will be held on September 8th at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus NJ. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to The Michael J.
