Obituary of Ruta Valters Shuart

RUTA VALTERS SHUART, of Maywood, formerly of Oradell and Lewiston , NY died on Friday, March 3, 2006, at the age of 59 years. She was a loving and caring wife and mother who will be greatly missed. Ruta was a graduate of Barnard College in 1968 and she went on to receive her Masters in Social Science at Columbia University in 1970 and she eventually received her M.B.A. from Pace University in 1980. She is survived by her husband Frederick H. Shuart Jr., three daughters, Alise Andrews Shuart of Dallas Texas , Kristen Valters Shuart and her partner Erika Lea of Brooklyn New York and Kate-Robin Shuart of Hitchin England, her son, Frederick H Shuart III of Hermosa Beach CA , her sister, Diana Valters Tsurumaki of Maryland and three loving nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Reverend Kristaps Valters.The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM. at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. Burial will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Ho Ho Kus. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 - 9 PM.
