Obituary of Jose I. Gomes

JOSE I. GOMES, of Hackensack, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the age of 76 years. Born in A dos Cunhados, Portugal, Jose came to this country in 1977 where he settled in Garfield. He worked as a custodian in the maintenance department for Hackensack University Medical Center and was a parishioner of Saint Francis De Sales R.C. Church in Lodi. Beloved husband of the late Maria (nee Matias). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dearest brother-in-law of Joaquin Matias, Agostino Matias and Maria Ascenso. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial following at Hackensack Cemetery, 289 Hackensack Ave., Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5th, 2016 from 6 – 9 PM.
