Obituary of Catherine Mellone

CATHERINE "KAY" DI FRANCESCO MELLONE, a life long resident of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, at her home, at the age of 102 years. Prior to retiring she was a seamstress for the Lilliput Company in Hackensack for many years. She was past President and member of the Rosebuds and parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church in Hackensack where she was a member of the Socialites. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Mellone who died in 1978. Loving mother of Joyce Kubeck and her late husband Paul who died in 1999. Adoring grandmother of Justin Kubeck and his wife Anna, and Jessica Lo Piccolo and her husband Vincent. Cherished great grandmother of Paul, Gabriella, Olivia, Mason and Preston. Dearest sister of the late Felicia Mei, Jennie Perone and Anthony Di Francesco. Devoted aunt of Jeana Mei, Barry Dooley and Michele Dooley and many other loving nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on her 103rd birthday, on Thursday, January 5th, at 11:15 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will continue the celebration of her life at a repast immediately following. The family prefers that in lieu of flowers you honor her memory with a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
