Obituary of Mary A. Piazza

Mary A. Barone Piazza, of Toms River, formerly of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the age of 100 years. Prior to retiring she had worked as a seamstress at Gluckin's Bra Factory and later worked as a waitress at Lena's Luncheonette both of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church where she was a member of the Children of Mary. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas A. Piazza who died in 1996. Devoted mother of Elaine Scea and her husband Robert of Toms River and Carol Piazza of Ridgefield Park. Cherished grandmother of Tammy, Robert, Christine, Sharon, and Nicholas and adoring great grandmother of 10 great grandchildren. Dearest sister of Jean Holienka of Charlottesville, VA and the late Frank Barone, Joseph Barone, Salvatore Barone, Peter Iurato, Joseph Iurato, Rachel Barone, Nellie Pepe, and Sondra Calabrese. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. The funeral on Monday, January 23rd, at 9:15 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 - 7 PM
