Obituary of Ernestine Metolli

ERNESTINE MAYER METOLLI of Hackensack died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the age of 73 years surrounded by family. Born to Theresia and Josef Mayer on March 22, 1939, Erna grew up in Kösching, Germany. She married Refik Metolli and they came to America in 1956 where they built a wonderful life together. Erna dedicated her life to her family and always had a smile on her face. She was a great storyteller and her door was always open to family, friends or anyone who just needed a cup of coffee. Beloved wife of the late Refik who passed away in 2004. Loving mother of Marian Brunck, Diana Tanski and Anita and her husband Joseph Scully. Devoted grandmother of Rachel and Natalie Tanski and Christina and Elizabeth Scully. Dear sister of Josef and his wife Ilse Kasper and Josefine and her husband Ewald Kleber. Adored aunt of Tobias, Stefan and Florian Kasper and Robert Katzer. The funeral will begin from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 18th, at 8:45 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation.
