Obituary of Lucille Raffaele

LUCILLE "RUTH" LANDI RAFFAELE of Hackensack, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Ruth enjoyed reading various books, dancing, baking, cooking and especially her coloring books and doing various sewing and seamstressing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Hackensack and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Raffaele who passed away in 1974. Loving mother of Rosemarie J. Sorce and her husband Sandy of Hackensack, Marilyn Raffaele Birnback and her husband Richard of Hackensack and the late Bart Raffaele who passed away in 1993 and his companion Marianne Schiebel. Cherished grandmother of Mariel Birnback, Joseph Raffaele and Joel Birnback. Ruth is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lifelong friends of Ida Castrianna and Bettie Violie. The funeral will begin on Monday, May 1st at 9:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum in Fairview. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation.
