Obituary of Rocco J. Mazzo

ROCCO J. MAZZO, 88 of Hackensack, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. Prior to retiring he worked for the City of Hackensack as a Building Inspector, Administrative Clerk and also Superintendent of Public Works. Rocco was an avid bowler and also enjoyed bingo. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and he was a member the Troast Athletic Club, Chamber of Commerce and Unico National all of Hackensack. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hackensack and a member of their Holy Name and Usher Society. Beloved husband of the late Frances C. (nee Marone) who passed away in 2004. Loving father of Dr. David J. Mazzo and his wife Cheryl, Marianne Mazzo-Thorry and John R. Mazzo and his wife Leslie. Cherished grandfather of Joseph and his wife Lana, Monica and her husband Joshua, Michael and his wife Martina, John and his wife Heather, Michael, Nicolas and Georgia. Great grandfather of Emilia, Sofia, Luciano and Louis. Dearest brother of James Mazzo and his wife Patti and Julia Tracy and her husband the late Milan. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM.
