Obituary of Igino Savino

Igino Savino of Norwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017, at his home, at the age of 91 years. Born in Montella, Italy he came to this country in 1962 settling in Paterson and lived in Hackensack prior to Norwood where he lived for 11 years. Prior to retiring he worked in construction for the NJ Building Laborers's Union of Jersey City. He was a parishioner at St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved husband for 52 years of Onorina (nee Tartaglione). Devoted father of Rosemarie Acerra and her husband Robert of Ocean Township, Geraldine Nicolai and her husband John of Norwood, and Teresa Surace and her husband Anthony of Fort Lee. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Richard, Raymond, Giulia, Lorena, Anthony and Alexa. Dearest brother of Ida Romanelli of Wyckoff, Romano Savino of Hawthorne, and the late Amelia Savino. The funeral on Thursday, May 4th, at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
